My target audience is aimed for teenagers between the ages of 14-18.
My magazine is mainly going to have R&B also Hip Hop. It will have different types of singers in the magazine. It is going to tell you things about which made them take up singing as a career and also have the top 10 songs which are out now.
My magazine will be coming out weekly.
My magazine will cost £2.50.
it is going to be glossy because I want my magazine to look good so that it attracts the target audience’s eyes so that they will want to buy my magazine.

This is a print screen of my preliminary magazine which I designed. I will be explaining how I made the magazine and also I will be explaining what tools I used and how I believe I could improve it. To design my magazine I used Adobe illustrator CS3. The tools I used for my magazine were the type tool, rectangle tool, magnetic tool. I believe that I could have made my magazine look better by using more colours to make it look more eye catching and appealing to the reader whereas I have only used one type of text colour which makes it look plain. I could have also added more pictures to my front cover to make it more attractive so that my target audience would want to buy it straightaway.

My magazine is going to be glossy because I want my magazine to look good so that it attracts the target audience’s eyes so that they will want to buy my magazine.

I believe that they have chosen this image to make it seem like Britney is the main person for this magazine. When people see this front cover they will be concentrating on mainly her. I think they used black and white to purposely make it look dole to show that she was at a stage when she was going through a rough patch.
For this image they have used a close up shot of her reason being is to make her stand out more.
Britney looks like she is looking for sympathy from the audience. By looking at her face in the image she looks depressed. The anchorage text helps the reader realise why the picture is dole you see this when it says “Britney Spears inside an American tragedy”

In this image they have also cropped her legs so that the readers concentrate on her upper body which would draw more attention to them. The type of shot is more or less a medium/long shot.
Britney’s image for this front cover is very revealing. She isn’t really wearing anything but her knickers. You can see that her pose is very sexy. She looks like she is flirting to attract the reader’s eye.
The setting used for this front cover is two walls. I believe that they have used them to show off her curves and also to make her body stand out more.
They have mainly used white and blue. I believe that they have used white to keep it simple it could imply that she is not over the top although they have used red for the cell lines to make it stand out but also because it is a sexy colour as well as using blue and black for the cell lines to attract the boys more as they are more of boy’s colours.

The shot of the image is a high angle shot it has been set out to make the reader look like they are looking down on her so that it attracts there attention also they have cropped her legs seems to be because her upper body was what they were concentrating on.
This sort of magazine is typical for men seeing as she is in her underwear.
Britney’s image appeals mostly to men but yet it is for both men and women. The reason it appeals mostly to men is because her costume is very revealing showing a lot of her body which then attracts men to buy it. On the front cover Britney is on the phone, I believe that it is to make her look sexy. She is also got a Teletubby in her arms to make her look cute
The setting for this front cover what has been used is a bed. I believe that they have used a bed to make her look more attractive and appealing and sexy.
For the front cover, they have mainly used white and purple. They might have used white for a symbol of purity also they have used purple to make it look very girlie but also sexy.
